Each of us is unique in what we bring to this world. There is no other being that can offer what is instinctually ours to share. Yet so many of us struggle with knowing our own worth and allowing ourselves to enjoy the gifts it attracts naturally. We cannot be measured by our words, actions, or beliefs on their own merits. We are a sum of our parts and it is in that sum that we find our true value. Being human by nature implies imperfection. Being imperfect means in order to get things right we are going to need to be persistent and tenacious. I was listening to an audio book this morning on the bike and came to the part that it spoke about self sabotaging. I zoned in on two types of self sabotaging behavior: those who uproot and those who are perfectionists. I’ve always known this is something I do to myself, I never stopped to ask myself why or how. I never allowed myself to wonder what might be on the other side.
